No Igbo resident has been killed in the north eastern part of Nigeria.

The spokespersonof the department of state services tonyopuiyo who denied the rumours of Igbo’s being killed in Northern States also warned Nigerians against threatening people from other ethnic groups.

Opuiyo also condemned the “quit notice served to Igbos in the north by the Arewa Youths.

 

 

 

 

OSINBAJO                          

The quit notice served to the Igbo residents in The Northern  East  Region  by northern groups  has been described as a violation of the nation’s constitution.

The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo made the remark on Sunday when he met with traditional rulers from the south east in Abuja.

While assuring the traditional rulers that the federal government remains committed to the unity of the country, Osinbajo warned against speeches  that will break  the laws or the unity of the nation.

The England capital city of London seems be the latest target for Errorist.

In a latest attack, a 48 year old man   drove a van into a group of Islam worshippers around a mosque   in the northern region of the city.

The incident has claimed the life of one person while  eight people  were  injured .

The suspect was later handed over to the ant-terror police squad.

PASTOR BAKARE                  

Pastor of the latter rain assembly, Tunde Bakare has blamed the political terrain of Nigeria for the choice of an elderly president.

The former vice-presidential candidate of the defunct congress for progressive change, who spoke during a press conference, cited the recent election of France 39-year-old Emmanuel macron as an example of a global paradigm shift.

This was a revelation by the United Nations Refugee Angency.

The Unhcr further explained that devastating conflicts, violence and persecution in places like Syria and South Sudan had left a record 65.6 million people uprooted from their homes as at end of 2016.

The figures released ahead of the world refugee day shows that an estimated 10.3 million people in the world, fled their homes last year alone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

U.S: SYRIA

A U.S-Led coalition fighter jet has shot down a Syrian military plane in the Raqqa province.

This is the first time in the Syrian conflict that the us-led coalition will shoot down a Syrian jet.

Meanwhile, Syria has condemned what it called a “flagrant attack” saying the development may lead to “dangerous repercussions”.

Just weeks after his own presidential victory, French President Emmanuel Macron’s  party has won a clear parliamentary majority.

With nearly all votes counted, his party alongside its modem allies, won more than 300 seats in the 577-seat in national assembly.

Some detention camps of notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onwuamadike also known as Evans have been located.

Evans reportedly led the Lagos State Police Command to two of the three camps at the jigbo area of the state

The notorious kidnap Kingpinwas apprehended at his residence at the Magodo on June 10th.

EKWEREMADU                

The deputy president of the senate, Ike Ekweremadu has attributed the withdrawal of the federal government donations to political parties to abuse of the funds by party leaders.

Ekweremadu said this while hosting members of the inter-party advisory council of Nigeria.

The lawmaker, who is chairman of the senate committee on constitution review, wants political parties to agitate for the introduction of proportional representation to widen political representation in the legislature.

He explained that the move will help smaller political parties to thrive.

Cameroon coach, Hugo Broos, is promising that his team will bounce back, despite the 2-0 defeat to Chile at the confederations cup yesterday.

In an interview with news men after the game, he said the team was young and needed time to mature.

Nigeria is not yet a “full-blown” democratic country but a work in progress,

So says the national chairman of the All Progressives Congressasiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He stressed that all citizen must work together towards moving Nigeria from being a “civilian dispensation” to a true democracy.

The former Lagos State Governor spoke at an award ceremony in Lagos when he received the national icon of democracy award.
